The Trans-Siberian Art Festival Arrives in Samara
On the 14th and 15th of April Samara State Philharmonic Hall hosted the long-awaited Trans-Siberian Art Festival. On Saturday, Vadim Repin and Samara Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Mikhail Shcherbakov gave an impeccable performance of Tchaikovsky's Violin Concerto. The next night was time for a chamber music concert. Vadim Repin, Alexander Buzlov (cello) and Konstantin Liefshitz (piano) delivered a breathtaking performance of Brahms' Cello Sonata No 2, Grieg's Violin Sonata No 3 and Tchaikovsky's Piano Trio «In Memory of a Great Artist».
